Chapter 1
It starts out as Maniac Magee who is actually Jeffrey Lionel, it says that he was born in a dump but really isnt and his parents die in a trolley crash, making him an orphan. After that he was shipped off to Aunt Dot and Uncle Dan. His closest reletives. Those two relatives also hated each other. He was on the stage of his school in a chorus. His Aunt and Uncle were there but they weren't talking. Then Maniac Magee pointed out to them and said "Talk! Talk! Talk!" It was a birth scream of a legend, then everyone left the school never to come back again...
Chapter 2
After that, everyone knew Maniac Magee and he ran two mills which is a long way. When he ran past a bunch of people, he said "Hi" Thats it, "Hi" the people wondered, do I know that kid?
Chapter 3
Amanda Beale who first appears in Chapter 3 has her own briefcase filled with books. Unfortunatley, it was her library of some sort. Amanda doesn't share her books either but she is quite friendly. She was on her way to school until Maniac Magee talked to her. Dropping her briefcase then showing the books.
